"Let's Face it, Return of The King was Always A Little Short"

Behold the trailer for The Extended Edition of The Return of the King, featuring a whopping 50 extra minutes of footage.

Now, 50 minutes in the context of a movie that was already 3 hours and 21 minutes long might not seem that much. But look at it this way: that 50 minutes is only 20 minutes shorter than all of Bambi.

I'm looking forward to it. The real score this holiday season, though, has got to be the 10-DVD Matrix boxed set, with the new commentaries. Hey, here's an idea, you can buy me that and I'll buy a t-shirt from ... uh ... OK, let me work on this a bit more.

There can never be too much LOTR! That was certainly true of the book and equally true about the movie(s).

Anyone for a "Wheel of Time" movie series?

What? Sauron killed Bambi's mom? Now that's low.

I have a feeling a WoT movie series would be a little much. As RJ keeps on going, we just keep on meeting more and more minor characters who take on more and more important roles!

(He really should just finish the series already. My fandom is waning because it's just getting too tiring to have to look at a book three books back to figure out when we first meet a character again.)

I think that (not having actually bothered to read any of the WoT books) that an adaptation of WoT would probably work better on TV than they would on the big screen. It'd be right up Sci-Fi's alley...
