This originally came up in discussion with some of my Orthodox friends here at school, and resurfaced yesterday at dim sum with some friends (and actually, now that I think about it, a similar discussion came up while talking to a fellow blogger):
How do you explain what pork tastes like to someone who’s never eaten it?
Isn't that the same as asking the old question, "How do explain the color blue to someone born blind?"
Tastes like chicken - but bacony.
nono. Takes like chicken, except for bacon. Bacon tastes like love.
Just call it duck
I would have to go with something like "it's a little like beef, but less meaty, richer, and every so slightly sweet."
Tell them it tastes like Shellfish. Or a tattoo.
