Mel Gibson presents: The Passion of The Easter Bunny?
It may not have been as gruesome as Mel Gibson’s movie, but many parents and children got upset when a church trying to teach about Jesus’ crucifixion performed an Easter show with actors whipping the Easter bunny and breaking eggs.
I heard this reported on the radio and the image of guys crucifying the Easter Bunny made me laugh until I thought about the poor little kids who were subjected to this. It seriously sounds like a SNL skit or some wacked out scene from a David Lynch film, (I wonder if they had fake blood packets erupting to add an air of authenticity).
Once again, this is an example of Religious teachings gone screwy!
I'm really sad I missed it, frankly.
