- The new $20 bills are being released today, marking the much-needed injection of color in to US currency. You and I probably won't be able to get our hands on them until we drunkenly dip into the ATM this weekend at 2:30 in the morning outside some hipster-infested watering hole on the LES; when that does happen, focus through your alcoholic haze and try to remember that the bills coming out of the machine are, in fact, legal tender (despite their technicolor appearance) and not monopoly money. In unrelated news, CNN has an article on memorable US currency flops of the past. Not to mention that the nickel will be changing soon... This, of course, means nothing to my non-US readers.
